Please read the policy carefully before accepting or using our products or services to understand how we use and treat your personal data. By accepting and/or using our products and services, either for own use or resale, you acknowledge you have read and understood the policy
Baulogic or whichever of its affiliates or subsidiaries you engage with is the data controller, as this term is defined in the GDPR, the UK GDPR, or any other applicable European Economic Area data protection law (the “European Data Law”), with respect to your data we collect directly from you. We may also act as a data processor or service provider in certain circumstances.
1. The Types of Information we collect about you
As a precursor, we do not knowingly process sensitive personal data (called Special Category Data in EU data law) or information about children. We may collect location data if you use any location dependant services but we do not use this information for other purposes or to infer characteristics about you.
1.1 Information You Provide to Us
This refers to any information you share with us when you interact with us.
This includes details you provide by filling out forms on our websites or communicating with us via phone, email, or other means. For instance, you may share information when giving feedback on our products, registering to use our websites, registering purchases, subscribing to our services, searching for products or partners, placing orders, reporting issues with our sites or products, participating in discussion boards or social media platforms, entering competitions, promotions, or surveys, or submitting queries through our websites.
The information you provide may include your name, address, email address, phone number, employer, job title/position, financial and credit card details, personal descriptions, login credentials, and other information that may be classified as personal data either on its own or in combination with other details.
We may also request details about the products you use (whether our own or third-party products linked to ours), such as model or serial numbers. Additionally, we may collect information about any issues you report with our products or services, as well as details about related incidents or your support requirements.
Please note that you may be required to accept our Privacy Policy or End User License Agreement before configuring your device. Once you accept, we will retain a record of your agreement.
1.2 Information We Collect About You from using our sites
We may automatically gather information each time you visit our websites or use our mobile applications. This includes both technical data and details about your interactions during your visit.
Technical Information which might include IP Address, login details, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system, and platform.
Site Visit Information: which might include URL including to/from info and date/timestamp. Pages and products viewed, response times, download errors, page interaction details

1.3 Information we receive from our products
In general, if your system is connected to an active internet connection, we will collect information about the extent, nature, and frequency of your usage as part of our support monitoring and provision of additional services. Through your use of our Devices we will collect:
- Model and serial numbers of the connected products, MAC address, versions and type of software, and your general location (e.g. latitude and longitude).
- Information about how your system is configured and how it is used.
- Third party devices you have connected to or integrated with our products.
We work closely with third parties (including, for example, service providers and / or sub-contractors in technical, hosting, payment and delivery services, advertising networks, analytics providers, and search information providers.
Our Partners (including independent Dealers that may install, service and remotely monitor and troubleshoot your Devices) should have their own privacy policies about how they use your data that they will make available to you.
1.4 Video surveillance use and storage
Privacy and video surveillance laws in your jurisdiction may apply to your use of our products and service). You are solely responsible for ensuring that you comply with applicable law when you use our video enabled products or services. For example, you may need to display a notice that alerts visitors to your home that you are using our products or services. Capturing, recording or sharing video or audio content that involves other people may affect their privacy rights.
Baulogic does not currently store video beyond a number of cached seconds to allow effective live streaming. If you subscribe through Baulogic to cloud video storage on the CCTV Connect platform then we will act as a data processor enabling the video streams to this service. The CCTV Connect service has its own privacy policy here.
If you use a third-party cloud video service not supplied or managed by Baulogic, refer to your provider for applicable information.
2 How We Use Your Data
2.1 Use of your data
We use information collected above:
- To enter into contract or fulfil our obligations including providing support and configuration services and device maintenance as agreed
- To notify you about changes to our products and services, and to provide you with information about products and services we feel may interest you, if you have given consent to receive marketing information from us.
- To allow you to participate in interactive features of our product and services when you choose to do so.
- To use the location of your device to provide location dependant features such as determining the sunrise/sunset times or likely temperatures where configured (eg to adjust heating/shading/lighting)
- To trigger specific actions from devices such as receiving notifications (eg when a sensor is triggered)
- To evaluate and improve our devices including supporting new product development, analysing our devices and customer base, aggregating and anonymising data, performing data analytics, and undertaking accounting, auditing and other internal functions
- To administer our sites and keep them safe and secure
- For measuring the effectiveness of marketing and deliver effective marketing to you
- To ensure our sites present the most appropriate content for you and your device
We may combine this information with information you give to us and information we collect about you in our legitimate interests (where we have considered that these are not overridden by your privacy rights). We will use this information and the combined information for the purposes set out above (depending on the types of information we receive).

Where permitted in our legitimate interest or with your consent, we will use your personal data for marketing analysis and to provide you with promotional update communications by e-mail about our products and services.

Baulogic reserves the right to deactivate or delete inactive accounts.

9.1 How we use Cookies
When you visit our website it is likely we will create cookies which are stored on your device. For the duration of your ‘session’ on our website these cookies help us to deliver the correct information and ensure you only have to enter required information once, thereby improving your browsing experience.
We also use web analytics to understand how many people have visited our website, what they have looked at and how they found us etc. This gives us a better understanding of how our website is working. All data accrued cannot be used to identify personal information and merely gives us a general idea of how our website performs.

We don’t feel that Google Analytics is a breach of privacy as we are merely aggregating the data survey. The information that is collected is used to understand website trends and performance.

A website may provide local weather reports, traffic updates and other similar localised information.
