KNX keypads
For teams who work in ETS. Keypads sit natively on the KNX bus, so room groups and individual circuits keep working even if the server is offline.
For integrators
Baulogic supplies a pre-engineered KNX system for lighting, heating and blinds, built and programmed before it reaches site. You install it, put your platform on top, and stay the only name your client deals with.
The gap
You already deliver the lighting, shading, AV and the experience your clients pay for. Heating tends to be different. Multi-zone underfloor, radiator zoning and heat pump plant usually go to a heating specialist or the M&E contractor, and their controls arrive as a thermostat on the wall that your system only partly sees.
That is margin leaving every project, and a part of the home your client holds you responsible for without you being in control of it.
Controls for heating, lighting and blinds become part of your package and your proposal.
A single controls supplier for the whole system, specified from your drawings.
Climate that behaves like the rest of the house, controlled from the same place.
The partnership
Each side does what it does best, and the two systems meet on KNX.
| Area | You | Baulogic |
|---|---|---|
| Client relationship | You own it, from proposal to handover and beyond | Supports you behind the scenes |
| System design | Send the drawings and a control point list | Specifies the control boxes and returns a quotation and parts list |
| Lighting, heating and blinds | Install, commission and take ownership of the system | Designs, builds and pre-configures it before delivery |
| AV, room control, CCTV and intercom | Yours, on your platform | — |
| Keypads | Supply and program them, as your own revenue line | Supplies the interface they connect through |
| Installation and commissioning | Your team and your electricians | Everything arrives pre-loaded; we don't need to be on site |
| Support | First point of contact for your client | Backs you on anything on the lighting, heating and blinds side |
Your client deals with you. We work behind you.
What we deliver
A pre-engineered KNX system for lighting, heating and blinds, ready to power up and control on arrival.
Hardware we have tested and know the behaviour of. Where a project needs something outside the range, we build a custom KNX control box, so you still have one supplier for the whole system.
Every box follows the Baulogic plug-and-play wiring method, so your electricians work to one consistent standard on first and second fix.
The standard ETS template is downloaded to the control boxes before they ship. Time on site goes on connecting and testing.
The main control box arrives with its base configuration in place, so lighting, heating and blinds can be tested from the Baulogic interface as soon as it is switched on.
Temperature, humidity and other environmental sensing use dedicated KNX devices we supply, so work elsewhere on the project can't affect how the heating behaves.
Less on every job
The parts of every project that eat time and carry risk are handled centrally by Baulogic.
Integration
When you place an order, we release a configuration file documenting the ETS group addresses for the project. You map those addresses into your platform and control lighting, heating and blinds alongside your AV and room devices. The Baulogic programming stays as it is; there is nothing in it for you to rewrite.
Designated group addresses let each system trigger the other. Set a listener in your platform, for example in Control4 Composer, and run an action when a value arrives. Write to an address from your side to trigger an action in the Baulogic system.
Either way, the keypads are yours to supply, program and charge for.
For teams who work in ETS. Keypads sit natively on the KNX bus, so room groups and individual circuits keep working even if the server is offline.
Control4 or Lutron keypads on your platform, mapped to the group addresses we expose. They connect through a dedicated IP interface we supply, separate from the one the Baulogic server uses.
BMS control from these keypads depends on that interface being online.
Built on standard KNX components and group addresses, designed to connect with any control platform that works with standard KNX.
The front end
The Baulogic system runs the lighting, heating and blinds in both options. The only thing that changes is the interface on top.
Either way, the system underneath is the same pre-engineered Baulogic backbone.
The process
It fits the way you already run jobs. Most of the on-site work is connecting and testing rather than programming from scratch.
Project drawings and system specifications.
Every point the system needs to control. A list up front means an accurate quotation, faster.
We work through the control boxes and keypad interfaces with you, then return a quotation and parts list.
We release the configuration file with the project's group addresses.
ETS template downloaded, main control box configured.
Your electricians fit the boxes and keypads to the Baulogic plug-and-play method.
Test lighting, heating and blinds from the Baulogic interface, with no extra configuration.
Map the group addresses, program AV and room control, and test every cross-platform control point.
Every control point confirmed from the agreed interface. Your client receives a walkthrough and as-built documentation, including the final configuration file.
After handover
The split between the two systems gives a clear line of responsibility. You stay your client's first point of contact for everything. Anything on the lighting, heating and blinds side comes to us, and we back you on it, including repair or replacement of Baulogic control box hardware.
Support terms are agreed with each partner before the first project.
