Baulogic trained to use GIRA's new touch screen software
New touch screen software from GIRA provides stylish centralised control of building functions.
At the premier European show for intelligent buildings, Light+Building 2008, GIRA first announced their stunning new touch screen interface for KNX. Based on extensive research into man-machine interface designs, the HomeServer Quad Client provides an ergonomic, functional and above all, stylish, front-end to the control systems in a modern home or office.
Interfacing to lights, blinds, curtains, heating, facade shading, intruder alarms, CCTV and whole-home music, with live feeds from the internet for weather, new and travel updates, for example, the HomeServer Quad Client allows you to control a building's mood and environment from a single elegant and simple to use touch screen interface. The new software from GIRA provides a framework within which an integrator, like Baulogic, can design a custom touch screen program for a home or office.
The HomeServer Quad Client software was finally released in April 2009, and Mark Gedrych from Baulogic was one of the first integrators in the UK to be trained by GIRA to use this powerful new tool. After the training, Mark commented that: "GIRA have always been at the forefront of design for light switches and electrical accessories, and the HomeServer Quad Client now enables Baulogic to bring the same level of stylish simplicity to a touch screen interace.
"GIRA's expert design consultants have laid out a framework within which Baulogic can implement sophisticated, but easy to operate, control interfaces that harness the full power and flexibility of an integrated building based on the workwide standard for intelligent buildings KNX."
