Energy saving solutions
In a general-purpose office, the main requirement on lighting is to provide illumination of sufficient strength and quality to facilitate the tasks being performed. For most offices, this means ceiling luminaires for overall lighting supplemented with localised task lighting where necessary.

From an energy standpoint the main issues with traditional lighting systems for offices are:

• lights being left on for longer than necessary
• lights being left on when enough sunlight is available
• lights being left on due to a lack of localised control.

All of these issues can be resolved with an intelligent lighting system from Baulogic; your office space is divided into small, individually controlled zones, with the system automatically detecting when each area is occupied. It then adjusts the dimming level according to ambient light conditions. Using a DALI network and wireless switches (or telephone-based control) it is entirely possible to individually control each luminaire.

Rather than terminating each cable in-situ, the installation consists of clipping together pre-wired and pre-tested connectors.
